  • Average MPG

Journey to work 12 miles each way average speed 20mph mpg 34 mpg.

When I do go on the motorway the car will do 45 mpg easy.

Myworld I think the mpg you are getting around town is about right.

Dont forget a lot of people like to pretend they get more mpg than they really do. I have a mate at work who had had in the past 3 years a X type Jag, An Honda Civic and a Mondaeo and they all have done around 60 mpg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just completed a 5 day 944 mile round trip today (Sunday) and the best return I achieved was 52.3mpg from Hoddesdon to Hythe. Now I know Winterfell is getting 60mpg + etc, but personally I refuse to sit on our a M/Ways doing 60mph as I think that one then becomes an obstruction/danger to other road users especially HGVs, now how busy or what the M/Ways are like in Sweden I don't know, so I'm content with an average of around the 50mpg mark.??????

Don't take offence Winterfell this isn't a slight at you.

What was the average speed C.B.?

At those speeds then, that mpg is excellent for such a heavy car! Will be picking my Ecoflex Elite up on the 4th or 5th March...............Only 12-13 BIG SLEEPS!

First time I've filled the tank up to go on wee road trip down south. Normally average 39 mpg about town and extra urban commute ( auto box ). On the recent trip averaged 42.5 mpg and got 607 miles out the tank. Not too bad since I have a heavy right foot when on the motorway. That was using tesco diesel. I don't do enough miles normally to justify putting in v power or ultimate!

When you go into any of the options, avr mpg, instant mpg or trips just press the button on the end of the left stalk and hold for a few seconds and it will beep = reset!

Diesel Particulate Filter. Needs to be cleared by either keeping the car above 2000 rpm on a run or taking it for a thrash every week!

Not necessarily! It will clear the filter but you still need to drive A roads and motorways to achieve good mpg. If you thrash it over next few days it will probably go down! The best you'll get around town will be between 30-37 mpg! Although there's a new software update out next week that may help if its particular to your car! You can check this by phoning your local VX dealer!

Press menu button on left stalk and will come up Metric or Imperial! Select which one you want! Siggy's are backwards the faster you go the better mpg you get! Read the Recall and Recall Afterthoughts threads and you'll see what I mean!
