Not posted in ages but had to have a new windscreen this week after it got a slight crack while in France in august then the cold weather last week saw it increase in size to almost halfway across the window.
I’ve got the heated screen as part of the winter pack so made sure they knew this ahead of it getting done on Tuesday. Anyway this morning there was a layer of frost on the car and even though I was cycling to work I thought it was a good chance to test the heated screen to make sure it worked….glad I did!
Spoke to national windscreens who did it and to be fair to them they have booked it back in for next week to be sorted. Could be as simple as the plug on the passenger side that runs that side of the heating isn’t plugged in properly or could be a faulty screen and needs a full replacement. Bloke was surprised it was faulty this way round….apparently it’s normally the drivers side that doesn’t work while the passenger side does.
