  • New toy!

Just got a vlinker MC+, lots of toys to play with using the OPL Monitor, going to unlock the hidden menus on the large instrument cluster next! Has anyone done this ? Does the g meter work? Is the sensor built in to the cluster or does it need an extra sensor?

Wicked toy, This is the one I use for my car, plenty of options to mess around with although I haven't unlocked the extra 'display items' as I think most of them are standard with the vx-line grand sport,

It's a good tool to help keep an eye on regens...(I have it running 80% of the time and 100% when I travel to Kent and back...pretty accurate as well).

A random glow plug / cylinder check I did a while back

Use this app all the time, mainly to check that my on and off EML is just for the Nox sensor. Its great for keeping track of DPF regens as said. I actually paid for the subscription today, thought it would be a decent chunk of cash as its so useful but at 7 quid for the year thought I would support the developers!

I mainly got the set up for the extra menus, wondering if anyone had paid for this, if it was instant after you pay for the option and if the extra menus actually worked giving info.

Not sure if this is correct but Delta P is used to monitor the pressure drop across various parts of the engine, including the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system and the diesel particulate filter (DPF).

so with that in mind, if there is a problem at anytime with your DPF or EGR I'm guessing it would show up on this icon.

Did a quick snapshot from my OPL monitor, just after it had finished a regen... not bad results eh ?

I paid the £36 a few days ago for the dash settings upgrade, I was initially a bit disappointed as the half moon gauges I enabled (I pretty much enabled everything!) Didn't show any readings, the left was a temperature gauge which is oil temp and the right was accelerate/brake and didnt move, after a few reprograms i realised some of the settings said Page or gauge, after playing around I now have the volt meter which I particularly wanted and have left the other side blank as don't see the point in a non functioning gauge.

Most of the performance pages work, except boost, oil temp and accelerate/brake but it does flag the brake is pressed but not the accelerator.

Worth the £36 if you have the large cluster, you can slso choose vxl, opc, or buick gs schemes and a few others.

Dude, can you post of few pics of the different options, My GS has the 'middle' level cluster so I'd be interested to see what if any changes I could make.

Also have you changed any of the schemes ? I have the 'middle level' display and I'd like to see what the differences are.

I've settled on the vxr unlimited scheme as the others and the Regal gs scheme is blue which looks good but the needles on the physical clocks either side are red and it looks odd to me.
i have it in touring mode now and added the vxr performance menu underneath with the g meter and vxr logo which looks good.

                        This video shows the options.

We present how with the OPL Monitor application you can unlock the hidden functions on the 8 inch Instrument Cluser Panel with UHS code on the Insignia A / Insignia B. In the same way, you can activate the hidden positions on the 4.2 inch UDD on-board computer on the Insignia A / Insignia B / Astra ..

Mine did the regen on the way to motorist today and I didn't have the dongle plugged in so grabbed this later on, not sure if it got as low as 6 but will have been lower than 9 as it had covered 25 miles since regen.
