I've put a few posts up recently to figure out my cam installation and have one final question. I put it in a new topic as its a separate procedure but if I should move it let me know, I also figured because this procedure is common with cams it belongs in electronics but let me know if it's more appropriate in lighting.
My plan for wiring the reverse trigger cable for my dash cam is to remove the back light housing (I'm assuming I can unscrew the screws under these covers to do this? Photo attached), remove the reverse bulb and check for which wire is positive and negative and then use a wire tap on the positive wire.
My understanding of electronics is pretty woeful but as far as I can figure this should work OK and I shouldn't get any errors from having it wired this way.
Anyone done this or have any thoughts?
