I recently bought a ThinkDiag and am able to diagnose why exactly the start/stop in my car isn't working.
When looking at the DataStream for the start/stop disable reasons, I noticed at the top there was a "Autostop Disable Reason - A/C Request", which the value as "Yes".
The A/C was not turned on and hasn't worked for about 2 years now (I.e. I turn it on but the air doesn't really get any colder). The front/rear windscreen demisters were off, I even tried it with the whole HVAC turned off, but it still said "Yes" to "A/C Request".
Does anybody know what exactly this could mean? Was it because the car was too cold? I was just parked with the ignition on and ran these tests.
Another side issue I spied was that "Autostop Disable Reason - Low-Voltage Battery State Of Charge Low" value was "Yes", but the battery is relatively new (I bought it about 6 months or so ago). Has my new battery somehow lost too much charge?
For reference the last time the start/stop worked was when I got the new battery. It worked for a day or two then stopped again.
