    I would think the error would need clearing. Try disconnecting the battery for 15-30 mins as that can sometimes work.

      Sounds like it needs a forced regen but I would 100% replace that pipe. I repaired mine exactly the same as you did and it still failed. It's only ?85 for the replacement from Auto Vaux (if they have stock) or Ebay. Once you have replaced it find someone that can start a forced regen & that should hopefully clear all the crud from the DPF.

        I don't think your method of repair will work, the pressure in the pipe is just too great.

            That will melt. Like I said I did the same & it disintegrated. It lasted about 3 weeks after I did the repair if that.

              Check for fluid, particularly power steering fluid, which may have caused the belt to slip off.
