  • 2.0 SRI CDTI loses power and shows Service Vehicle Soon, but OK after restart?

It's gone into limp mode. Code reader will tell you what's up but could simply be a sensor or some more serious like the DPF clogged.

If that pipe has oil on it then it has a split somewhere. VX have a backlog of 10k of those pipes so your best bets are Autovaux (online, they get the pipe in every few days) or Ebay. Cheaper than the stealers & easy enough to change!

Had the same fault code logged on my car. My problem was caused by sticky vanes in the turbo. Took apart, cleaned and problem went away.

        Boost sensor maybe needs cleaned/replaced?

The DPF could be clogged if the motor was run with that pipe split. Get it back on the diagnostics machine again and see what the codes are this time round

          Removing the DPF is illegal.

The DPF might just need a regen. I also recall a new DPF including fitting is much nearer ?1,000.

The fact the car was serviced is of no relevance to the message displayed.
