  • Engine Overheat Malfunction

I have had the exact same issues as you. First one just error code P2428. Cleared it and about 5 weeks later. This Sunday just gone it happened again and I got P2428 and P2479

Do you have a part number for that sensor or even know what that sensor is please.

    Thanks

I assume the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor

You can see this on the nearside of the exhaust, towards the front of the engine (basically right under the front passenger seat)

Thanks for the response. This is not under the car it is on the top of the engine at the back. You need to remove the engine cover to see it.

The sensor in the picture above I have posted in another thread and it's the MAP sensor.

Thanks for your response though as the sensor your talking about may be the problem one on mine as well. Trial an error for me at the moment. Don't suppose you have a pic do you?

Post #4, the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor

Simply lie down beside the front passenger door, look at the exhaust and you can see it

          Thanks
