Try tightening the bolt first, seen a sump bolt shear first as they are normally made from toffee. A breaker bar might help to give you some more leverage - - Dave

I had the same sort of thing with my latest Saab
in the end I knocked a 12 mm socket on to it and applied some heat ( I'm a heating engineer so I used my blow torch)
and hay presto.
55-34 tap tap tap ouch !

Ok still cannot get the bolt free tried head and broke another socket ... I'm unsure whether to buy a oil extractor and go from the dip stick or not ?
But I decided to at least be productive and do the glow plugs first one came out so easy I thought wow this is simple, then second glow plug was a nightmare so I moved to 3 and 4 which both came out easily once loosened at 10nm with my torque wrench.. Went back to seconds one with torque wrench and it felt like it was almost twisting which I was expecting to snap so I took my time and it came lose but each turn it made an awful sound so I kept going back a turn out two and it finally came out ... Put all new in and tightened gently didn't actually take it to 10nm as it felt to tight and op com reset the 4 glow plug errors and went for a drive all seems good ... No more service msg order of pic too is first one and one seems newer than the rest but who knows.

If I were you, I'd definitely try and get the sump plug removed
its hard when doing it jacked up I know, but even if you could get someone with a ramp, It would be worth it.
As for the glow plugs......it's not unknown for someone just to replace one because it's faulty.

Some clown did this to mine before I got the car and chipped the sump.
Filled it with silicon so it didn't leak too bad.
I never seen this til I did its first service as the under belly cover hides all the sins.
Cost me a new sump too.

one thing I noticed is when they previously did the oil pickup seal they made a bit of a mess drilling and grinding away room to remove the bolts .. My sump was slightly oily but that can be fixed later I'm sick of finding issues I love the car but hate working on it so far
