Yeah the sump is on with instant gasket.
use some sort of knife or angled flat blade to burst it then it will gradually break the seal.

Have made a couple of oak wedges, tapped in very firmly, between the sump and bell housing. See how it goes over night. Give them another tap or two/four, in the Morning.

Can't do that might fall off the axle stands.

It's ORFF. Went down to garage at about 10-15 (it is Sunday) and one of the two wedges, I'd put in last night, was on the floor, it'd fallen out., gasket had released some of its hold.

Still took a bit of levering and pushing, before it released completely, back up for a cuppa at 11-45..

A good clean, then I'll practice the best way of putting the sump back, needs threading in, before I start putting it back together.

Keep being told to drop the front exhaust pip, there isn't one, exhaust all in one peace/piece? All the wat front to back.

Steady steady seems to have worked this time.

Yep, my front pipe had to come off.
sump went on at gearbox side first then up into place.

You can see the front exhaust pipe that has been loosened off to aid the sump removal-------Dave
