  • service vehicle soon

So yeah service vehicle soon on dash today after a drive I stopped started her up and tjen appeared the message car won't go above 30 down on revs, plugged in the code reader and it's complaining about the dpf pressure sensor but the dpf has only just regenerated, can this cause the message as I thought the message was related to a non emission fault, there is no MIL on and the car for some reason thinks I now has a keyless entry ans there was a code for it having a low battery

The dpf pressure sensor is only 9 months old and is a bosh part

Check the pipe work that goes from the sensor and around the back of the engine. Theres an elbow that does from rubber to metal and it can split. I wouldnt discount the fact the sensor might be faulty though, it has happened with fairly new sensors.

I brought a Genuine GM turbo actuator solenoid and it lasted all of 7 months before it started making that tell tale Moooing and vibrating sound.

Should the soot level be lower then 49% considering it regen 1 mile ago

How old is the dpf .
if it was an forced regen then that’s low and you have to perform a passive regen to drop it further .
if it was a passive regen then that’s ok if the DPF IS Original.

It was just the regen it did whilst driving, the dpf as far as I know is original, think it's worth giving it a chemical clean?

This cars been nothing short of a nightmare 12 months and it's gone, most unriliable car I've owned to date

Yes you can try a chemical clean but how much soot will come out is no one's answer.
The thing is as cars get older so parts start to wear and require more TLC I'd rather have an older car that i put into a garage and they can fix rather than one of these electric things that cause problems because no one wants to touch them .

I've ordered some launch dpf cleaner to put in it should arrive later, the soot is reading 70% today only driven 12 miles since regen

It's climbing fast ,but haven't you got a fault at the moment with it being in limp mode ?
if you keep driving it with the fault then it could end up blocking the DPF .

So i put the cleaner through the dpf via the pressure sensor hose using some old tubing and the amount of crap that came out the tail pipe, cars out of limp mode now and feels more responsive then before it went into limp, i am going on a 3 hour drive next weekend so I'm going to do a before and after comparison for the soot levels, but the pressure levels are much lower now

i forgot to mention i checked the voltage of the sensor and it was reading correct, my friend is coming next week to let me use his manometer so i can check the accuracy of the sensor and if it faulty ill warrenty it

                        That's a lot better.
You know what I've said this before
Never in all my time have I ever monitored my DPF on any of the Diesel cars fitted with a DPF and that goes back to 2006
So I wouldn't know how much soot a DPF collects per mile.
I just drive it regenerates and the world is happy.
But your levels are low which is good.
                        Thanks for updating the thread.
