  • Intercooler pipe clamp popped off!!!! Need help!!!!!

My intercooler pipe clamp thing popped off and now is secure with zipties courtesy of the AA guy who came to have a look, it is a temporary fix he said and it is capable of driving around at 30mph but I need to go back home this weekend and I have placement this week for uni, home is 3.5 hours away on motorway and placement is 1 hour away on motorway too. I haven't tried going at 70mph yet cause honestly im scared it won't hold but what advice do you guys have, will it be able to hold if I just keep the revs as low as I can for as long as possible ? or is there something more I can secure it with ?

I have moved your thread from the new introduction section into the correct section.try to familiarise yourself with the sub sections.
this particular subject has been flogged to death and there is a search function ( top right)
but I’ve picked out 1 thread on this subject, but cable ties are not going to last full stop
    see link below
Hi guys, Noticed I was losing a little bit of air and when checked its hissing away from this broken ring. What is this pipe? Is this the Intercooler Hose? How the earth do I remove this?

ah okay thank you so much, I remember seeing one guy who attached it with zipties and said he had some motorway trips to make, I couldn't find any private message options nor could I find a way to post on that forum so I think it might be closed, so I thought I might as well post something see if anyone has tried to get on the motorway with this and if theres something else I can use to reinforce it to make the journey

Check if GM do a repair kit as sometimes the hose is on back order.

May be easier for you if your not sure, to check if a new boost pipe is in stock and get it fitted.
