  • Turbo intercooler hose pipe replacement part no. 13419442

Hi. I'm having trouble getting a turbo intercooler hose pipe part no. 13419442 for Vauxhall opel insignia 2.0 cdti, part no. 13419442. The genuine Vauxhall part is on back order from Lookers, and has been for a couple of months with no prospect of any coming in stock. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement part whether that be a genuine part, or none genuine parts that can be used instead and have any experience of using the replacement part? Thanks in advance.

There seem to be some on ebay, may not be genuine, but will get him on the road until you can find one?!

Hi, thanks. We've ordered and received one of the none genuine parts from Ebay. The none genuines are neoprene or rubber, rather than the solid plastc. They also don't have the ring type fittings at the end. It's literally a tube, which is attached via a jubilee clip. All the pictures suggest they are a direct replacement. The genuine part however has a plastic ring insert socket type thing which attaches to the intercooler body. The independant garage we use says the none genuine part we have isn't any good and the pipe needs to have the inner ring socket thing which attaches to the intercoolerbody at the top of the engine. But all those on the likes of Ebay that are left in stock are those that are just a basic pipe without this and are like the one weve already received. Part no 13419441 is the 13419442 equivalent but for the 1.6 engine rather than the 2.0 engine we need. Typically there's 9441 available but no 9442 which is the one we need.

Have a loook at the thread below that stupid clip is a stupid clip there's quite a few threads on here about that hose
Hi guys, Noticed I was losing a little bit of air and when checked its hissing away from this broken ring. What is this pipe? Is this the Intercooler Hose? How the earth do I remove this?

It is a terribly designed part, the thread posted above has some alternatives I think, I would go with one of those rather than a Vauxhall one as it will just get rid of the problem altogether.

Hi Humbug. Unfortunately that's for a 2018 model. Ours is 2015. As a resultof a few posts on the site, I've spoken to Lewis at Turbozentrum. He was great, and going to sort a kit out for us. I just need to get the garage concerned that the sleeve and jubilee clip is the correct way to go. They just keep saying the pipe needs that grey ring connector at the top. I've emailed them you tube clips including TurboZentrums, so hopefully they'll understand how to complete the fix now.

If/when mine gives up Turbozentrum is the solution I have my eye on, I have even considered buying one in advance but from what I have learnt the later models have an extra bracket to support the pipe. We have two citroens in the family both use the same style pipe as Turbozentrum make and both are fine, one on 150k miles plus.
