Might be why the service rear axle warning was comming up then, no chunks of metal in it but was some crud stuck to the magnet I think I'm finally making progress, I'm giving the gasket till Monday to cure before I fill it up I need a day off laying on the tarmac and the caliper isn't ready to collect till then, but the back wheels feel smoother to turn when both lifted of the ground,

So took car on test drive all the strange sounds a have gone and car feels alot smoother, BUT! now it's complaining about something else please see the report is this meaning a new pump?
Or more oil? I filled it till it came back out the fill hole

Also my car has a auto bleed brakes in my computer how do i use it do I activate it going to each bleed nipple or do I just activate and leave it, the brake pedal is extremely squishy

            Car said service rear axle
            Service awd

No braking system has an automatic brake bleeding system.you just bleed as we always have done.
The code fir the pump is probably due to low fluid level in the clutch pack .
Did you fill the haldex through the level plug?
If so the way to fill it is that there is a vent hose on top of the unit.get a syringe fill it with the correct fluid.
Connect it to the vet hose . take out the level plug and whilst pumping the fluid in through the vent hose keep filling till it trickles out the level plug hole.
Once done remove the syringe and re fit the level plug.
Check the level in the rear diff .
The reason why the slipping code is because the pump is trying to compress the clutches but there's not enough fluid.
Either that or the pump is not building enough pressure.

Thanks I filled the haldex via the fill hole untill it flowed back out the same hole was this the wrong way then?
Should I try adding more via the breather pipe?
I'm going to put a volt meter on the pump tomorrow and check the resistance, someone I think said should be 5 to 8 ohms

Fill it only by the vent hole

Done it, 100ml more went in that way,
New caliper on rear, couldn't do a full bleed the front nipples were rusted solid and didn't want to snap them,

I just want to thank you all so much for holding my hand through this, I have never done so much to a car before and your help gave me the confidence to attempt it

This is the one I removed
