  • Just happened auxiliary belt?

Just half an hour ago I was in my way home from Mansfield to Loughborough when I heard what sounded like a belt coming off under the bonnet, instantly my battery light came on and also (service battery charge) apart from that the car was fine, no power loss no issues at all, for the next 2 miles I kept an eye on the temperature of the car which stayed at 90 and all seemed ok, I got home popped the bonnet and sure enough the belt had came of and was in pieces, it’s came off of 4 pulleys, my question is…… what are the 4 pulleys controlling?

looking at engine down the left hand side

    1,Water pump?
    2, alternator?
    3, power steering?
    4, ?

    can anyone advise?

I take it it’s the auxiliary belt?

    thanking you in advance

Can't see from the pics but but I believe water pump is on the toothed belt. So you likely have alternator, aircon pump, tensioner and bottom (crank) pulley.

Also, if that's been the original, has your cambelt been done? If that goes it gets expensive!
