  • F*£&*$!% Nox Sensors

Am about at my wits end with these things on the car now. It seems that whenever we drive the thing in the rain the EML comes on, a quick scan always shows that it has lost communication with Nox Sensor 1

Leave it a few weeks, light will go off and next time the car is driven in the rain, it pretty much always comes on. Am guessing its too exposed and just getting wet is causing some kind of short on the connections which eventually dry out and it can connect to it again. I am monitoring the DPF level and it all seems fine, pretty sure it did a regen with the EML on the other day so not really too bothered but why are these things so naff?!

    Rant over...

Nox 1 is in a sh!t place. When I replaced mine I put some spacers beneath it so it wasn't sat directly on the subframe so that when it gets wet the moisture can escape. I smothered it in lanoguard and keep squirting it with lanoguard every year....
