  • 7Flappy Paddle Steering Wheel Query

I'm after a VX LINE Steering Wheel and someone I know, knows someone who has one, BUT it's the flappy paddle one.

My question is that can the flappy paddles bit be removed, leaving me with just the VX-LINE steering wheel, or is it a completely different steering wheel? Are the flappy paddles an add on or integrated into the wheel itself?

    Thanks.

I'm sure there integrated but are also added on.

    Very very rare item mate.

Last one I seen went for over £250

Cheers Rab, I assume only the VX-Line came with flappy paddles? I havent seen the wheel, but that was my assumption....

I think that the VXR had this option too.
I know of 1 VX line with the paddles

I've taken a punt and said I'll have it, if I cant remove the flappy paddles then I will have to either return or sell on...
I think he said it was the heated version too...not if I could get that working, thats a game changer.

Anyway, thanks Rab, lets see what I end up with.

once you remove the steering wheel controls you will see the screw which attaches the flappy paddles, remove this and remove the paddle

Ah brilliant, does it leave a massive gaping hole at the back?
Also, other than that flappy paddle bit, is it a straight fit, as in it wont throw up any codes, etc, for flappy paddle and/or heated part? Thats if its heated!

                      Thanks.

there is a hole for an m4 size screw and some of the backing is cut away which allows the paddle to be somewhat recessed..

Maybe you could reassign the paddles to some "Frickin Lasers" mounted in the front grill...... or a flamethrower
