Yep i think i posted about getting it from maplin. And they are the correct values. The resistor goes in parallel. So 1 end on the 12v and the other end on ground wire

No led bulbs have resistors built in. The ones that say error free or canbus safe have a canbus code chip in them. These make no difference to insignias as they use a different system. So please dont waste your money on these. All insignias built at the end of 2011 and onwards will be fine with standard led 501 bulbs. Those built before WILL NEED LOAD RESISTORS. Theres no other way. Everyone who keeps buying error free bulbs for post 2011 insignias and say they have had no errors are wasting their money. Standard led bulbs would have giv the same results

I alway end up with blobs of solder everywhere, burn/melting the wires. Never can get the solder to flow nicely. And i ruin the solder tips. Have to sand it clean again.
Should get karl to do a soldering masterclass
