  • BCV causes drop in mpg?

    Hullo,

Not an uncommon fault, however the BCV on my 160 cdti has been more flatulent than usual recently.

NOt sure how else to describe the driving characteristics, but it seems a little "Surgey" when on CC @ 70mph (not much, just speed fluctuating slighly).

In addition my dash displayed economy has dropped from 57mpg to 54mpg.

Will the drop in economy be because of the BCV or will it be more related to the colder days we are now seeing?

Thanks TopCat, assuming all was back to normal once the BCV was changed?

The BCV's are about ?40 I believe, might grab one and sort it this weekend.
