  • Which type of service to choose

I'd say main service based on the mileage.

Odd number Interim (1st, 3rd, etc)

Even number Major (2nd, 4th, etc)

Therefore now due a Major Service

For a diesel there shouldn't be any difference so ask for a quote for each then ask what the difference is

Usually it is just the Interim is a visual only check of the brakes and on a Major it is a physical inspection

Major also includes brake fluid change

Why does brake fluid need changing every 2 years?

Plus it's not part of the service. It's an extra and you'll pay extra for it! Robbing bar stewards!

Have a 3 year service plan, just had second service done, brake fluid changed at no extra cost.

Certainly not on the stealer's side, just stating my experience

I had service plan with Arnold Clark, no brake fluid in my major service. 'We can do it sir, but it will be 32 pounds please' Feck off!
