  • Rear upper control arm bushings Insignia 4x4.

Had my car in for an "MOT" here in Norway today and the result was not good.
At least those bushings looks like an awful job to do.
Sitting on top of the rear suspension with an adjustable screw for the camber angle.
Anybody replaced it? The dealer wanted £ 735 a piece for complete arms and that's not an option.

After some extensive searching I found them on eBay for a much nicer price.
If anybody wants it for future use the original numbers are 13230593 and 13230592.

My usual luck when it comes to cars. Always a struggle until the last minute. Whole subframe had to come down. Screw rusted to the bushing.
Only one broken spring. Managed to get hold of the new springs before everything closed for the weekend.
The hand brake wire had to be sacrificed since it was rusted solid onto every mounting point.
If I'm lucky the car is ready again this weekend
Forever thankful for a friend with a nice garage and lift. This would hardly be possible on the ground

ID:	370486 magic with the wire brush and sprayed som rust protection on the most viral parts. The garage owner don't want too much spraying done inside.

The car is back on its wheels and home
Had some help with my two expensive battery operated friends. That ingersoll rand battery impact is so powerful that it can easily break your wrist.

The only Ingersoll rand products over here are industrial compressors for road working crews .
used ingersoll when doing boiler boiler rooms back in the 1980's ,

You can see the variety here. The prices can make your eyes water if you convert it into pounds.

After this work i'm thinking about selling the car. Since the 4x4 gives me more work than pleasure.
I'm stuck between the choice of going newer with less fancy extras or going older and simpler, and put the rest of they money in the bank.

This is not relevant to the work done on the car but I would like to share it anyway since it's important.

My friend who has let me borrow his lift and garage made the choice to leave this world on Monday.
Leaving friends and family in total shock. Writing this with tears rolling. Only 28 years old
It's important to ask people how they are and its more than okay to say that life is not all right because there will be hard times when you feel like nothing matters.
