  • Tyre wear

    Hi all.
My 2016 SRI Nav estate has just passed its MOT today but with an advisory. Both rear tyres are wearing on the inside edges.
So could this be caused by excessive weight in the back on a regular basis ? The result of replacement springs about 18 months ago (not genuine spares) ? Rear suspension has camber adjustment that needs attention ?
    Thanks for any guideance.

    Camber adjustment required.
4 wheel alignment required on a alingment machine that does 4 wheel alignment.
    Normally "Hunter"
Get that done then replace the rear tyres before they become a big problem and you get fined. It's £1000 per tyre plus 3 points on your licence per tyre.
Do the maths on that and 4 illegal immigrants equals complete ban .

Thanks for the advice, I thought it would be something that needed adjustment.

It could also be a combination of weight in the boot and low rear tyre pressures. Too much movement of the tyre walls on the rim when cornering
