I remember as a kid, way back in the early eighties thinking Cavalier SRis were ace. Much as I wanted an Escort RS Turbo, the SRi was a cool looking machine. Fast forward three decades and having owned a base spec Mondeo for 8 years and taking it to from 66,000 to 170,000 miles I started hunting for another car. My budget was modest and Auto Trader threw up many possibilities but I needed to keep the size about the same as the Mondeo for my family. knowing pretty much any car in my price range would have about 10 years and 100k on it I knew whatever I bought would be far from perfect (but better than my ageing Mondeo) Today I picked up a 2012 Insignia SRi. It does have a few issues that I’d like to sort out and I don’t mind getting my hands dirty. Its on 97k miles with a good interior, everything seems to be working so mainly exterior cosmetic issues (I hope). Anyway, I do like to get involved in forums and this ones seems pretty much spot on so far!

Hi and welcome, have owned a Cavalier SRi Mk 2 back in the day was a beast??? never had the Escort Turbo but a couple of XR3i's, and Sierria's and briefly a Mondeo Mk1, on my 2nd Siggy, tis a great all rounder!
