Can't beat a bit of preventative maintenance Drew.

Went to cleethorpes in September. Got up the first morning we were there, ignition on....front n/s was at 21psi.
jacked up and a dirty big screw in it. Pulled it out and it hissed away.

I keep this kit in my car.....

Sorted the puncture and its still holding fine with no air loss.

not saying you need it, but its bloody handy.

Monitored the tyre and it is leaking, so I'll get it sorted tomorrow.

Didn't forget the discs, makes the pads last longer

Just reading this thread and wondering what the kit is you bought as the eBay link is now not working. Both our Insignia and Corsa-e just have the pump and gunk to shove in but dont like using that unless its an emergency as over the years i've had a couple of punctures repaired for loads cheaper than replacing and putting the gunk in would stop that happening. Had three slow punctures in just over a year on the Corsa so its more of an issue with that one at the moment...not sure if the stiffer suspension on that is an issue although it was just bad luck when the front had a dirty great nail in it. The one i couldnt get replaced was when on a narrower country lane some idiot came round a bend the other way too fast, over onto my side of the road and i hit a big hole as the tarmac ran out in the ditch and that was that tyre blown. Managed to get home then a neighbour who has all the gear helped me jack it up and take it off so i could take it down and get it replaced. Did the same with the slow punctures as well.

Cheers. To be honest its only £15/£20 to have a repair done at the tyre place i use and they are pretty good. Repair quite a few and its good quality, the one i had that failed they just did again for free. Its just the last couple on the Corsa you couldnt have the tyre inflated enough to get down there but i knew it was repairable so didnt want to wreck the tyre with gunk. Be handy to be able to repair like this on the drive myself or at least do something that can get me from home\side of the road to a tyre place to have it sorted properly.

Anything more than a screw\nail in there its unlikely its repairable or the gunk is usable anyway.

I used this repair kit on a p-zero runflat 6 weeks ago,,not touched it since.......garage refused to fix it,cos it was runflat

61k miles on the original front discs and pads so time for shiny new ones! The discs weren't too bad to be fair but I don't think they would have made it another 61k.

rear discs will get changed when the rear pads need replacing.

Other than that, there's not much to report. Next job is probably timing belt.
