Well, a mixture of (mostly) good and bad. The specialist was a back street sort of operation - got the impression he'd been doing this sort of thing all his life.

First thing he did was test the one I'd sent to Autotronics - now the transponder is corrupt, so I can't even use that key to...

Yeah they kind of do, but I've had bad (and eye-wateringly expensive) experiences with them.

Found a specialist in Belfast - will pop in there today if I can ...

I'm also looking at changing my tourer it's getting on a bit now and haven't a clue what to get.

Looked at these along with XF's, 3 series and some Audis.

Until I find a replacement I'll keep plodding back and forth to work in the tourer.
