    Yeah 600.

I think I read somewhere that they can change the bearings with the box in situ as it's a quicker turn around so don't know if they fully removed.

All will be revealed I'm the end... hopefully....

Yeah that's sound. I'm just going to play this out see where it goes. I'm not paying for any of this, but the things you guys are pointing out make sense. I'm just surprised they are not considering any of this....

    Good points

Again I'm surprised that's not been considered as these guys specialise in this kind of work. Isn't something like that basic stuff when doing this?....

I'm sure they put the bearings in without removing the gearbox although I'm not 100% . Would they have missed something as simple as what you say about the pressure plate as they have done enough of them?.

So it's had new bearings which solved the gears moving around, and now it's going...

    Good info.

    Update:

Well i had the car back this morning they said there was nothing wrong with the work they did ie bearings, but gears stiff and clunky, and struggled to put it into reverse. I took it back to the seller, and said jump in and have a look. He said thats ridiculous,...

Funny thing i was looking at the corsa..i have a big family so too small for me.

Part of the criteria was a large boot as my father law has ms so big enough i can stick his scooter in...and fuel economy. I ended up with this petrol 1.8, but it was the 2.0 ecoflex i had my eye on. Just one...

Damn that does sound like me haha.

Being told its has a chocolate gearbox doesn't instill confidence either. I had to borrow my ol girls ford fiesta earlier to take my son to view a house...its like a noddy car compared to the insignia, but the gears and clutch are miles apart. If it wasnt...

Im giving the guy enough chance to put things right whilst its still under the warranty. He just spent 600 doing the bearings so i cant fault that. To me thats a job on the car thats sound for now. I dont think its a clutch issue as they said it seems fine, but did today say it might be an issue...i...

It comes and goes. It does seem to feel easier when warmed up. The gears slip in easy when the cars not started. I thought it might have been me or because things need to settle after having the bearings done. I hope it's not signs the clutch is going. Does my model have the DMF?. Think it's just d...

    Gearbox again

So after having the bearings done on my gearbox which sorted out movement in the gearstick its back in as i was having difficulty selecting reverse. The rest of the gear are fine if a bit clunky on times. They are going to put it up on the lift and suggested the work that was done on the bearings might...

Thanks andy. To be honest I've not looked at since I worked on it last so it's good enough for now. It looks like it's been sliced with whatever someone loaded the car up with. I've done it myself with skim beads in my work car. I was going to add a touch of super glue. Dab a bit in with a needle and...

    Scratches on dash

Trying to get rid of some scratches on the dash. Its right in the middle so catches my eye. Ive seen some use heat guns to get rid of them, but dont have one so had a go with the wifes hairdryer. It worked to knock back the rough parts, and some of the high points, but there still a few lines that are...

Haha...well i was going to ask here is it possible to wire them in. Also on my model the side mirrors are not electric (folding) but you can move the mirrors. I like that grill on yours. I want to tint the rear as well although im not sure id like full black. I think the price around here is 170 for...
