As well as being an MoT fail, it's not doing the DPF much good, as it won't perform a regen.

There is a manual release for the key if it won't come out.
Lift the gear selector surround and there is a round hole (from memory to the right of the selector). Prod a screwdriver into the hole which should release the key. If it does, it's the transmission not being recognised in Park....

Make sure the selector is properly in 'park'. Mine has occasionally done this when the selector isn't fully in position.
If the car 'thinks' the selector isn't in the 'park' position, the key won't be released.
Moving the selector to R then back to P usually does the trick...

Yeah, they did vacuum it out and hold it. My understanding it's a legal requirement as they're not permitted to fill a leaking system.
I have a print out which confirms 600g of refrigerant and 10ml of PAG oil was added.

New condenser arrived on Thursday so I set aside this morning to fit it. Before starting I checked system pressure which had dropped to nothing despite the car xsitting on the drive all week. So there was definitely a leak somewhere.
Bumper came off pretty easy considering I'd never removed...Last edited by Mudster; 15-03-2025, 05:08 PM.

How many miles have they lasted?
To be fair I always leave aircon switched on so it's likely the compressor is getting fair bit of use.
Howy , I can get a mobile nitrogen leak test for £45, but car is 10 years old and probably benefit from a new receiver/ drier in any case...

Yeah, the display was an optional upgrade.
On a separate note, been a lovely weekend and the first time this year I have noticed the a/c isn't working. Quick investigation noted the compressor clutch wasnt engaging so I plugged in the diagnostic. Either the pressure switch is faulty, or...
