Okay fair enough I understand your point of view. I have a question though, in this condition would you recommend I keep the car or sell it before it goes downhill more. Also do you suggest I tell him to take a look at the oil pump and should I replace it regardless....

Some friend with the same issue as mine referred and recommended me this mechanic and he’s done a dozen of rubber seal replacements maybe because of experience he was curious to know the condition of the engine and then warned me about it. Regardless I was in the garage myself and he explained...

Yes exactly, he’s told me that he’s gonna use emery paper and try to clean up and make smooth as much as he can. I’ve been at the garage and I’ve taken a look myself and tbh I couldn’t tell much of a difference between the healthy and the damaged ones, it was very slight....

Engine bearings damage from oil pick up seal
Hello everyone,
Hope you’re having an amazing weekend,
Recently I’ve had a problem with my Insignia 2011 2.0 diesel with the oil seal pick up which got degraded. Took it to the mechanic and told me he’ll replace the seal and get everything back together....
