Onstar module at fault, we can professionaly remove all existence of it, includes rewiring the mic, or for a 'fix' you can simply buy another onstar module and change it as they are plug and play no programming...

With used one SPS wont program it. What you've actually programmed is the master unit again as they talk via LIN to the slave unit. It will need special coding now to 'pair the 2 units together'.. The same goes for AFL headlight modules as well a master and a slave.

Ok, so yours is he 65 meaning you have a more expensive hmi unit... My advice is to remove the hmi and cdplayer and get them sent off to me for testing. If either is at fault I can provide a pre-programmed solution ready to fit in and work..
If you wanted to verify yourself if its the hmi or cdplayer,...

a 'computer' wont help, it will only give you a U code to say the infotainment system isnt working, as i previously said its more than likely the hmi unit or cdplayer...

There are a few items which need to work for the display to come on.. Common failures on jump starts, battery disconnects are the HMI unit (located behind the climate control panel), and CD player, they like to fry themselves... You wont know without replacing them.. The lesser known parts to fail are...

Not been called young for a while so thanks for that RBH !!...
As for the OP I would disconnected the battery for 30secs and give it a clean reset... Once reconnected, turn the ignition on and give it 30 secs to finish booting up.. If you still have issues after that then your looking...
