I really don't understand why height adjustment on the passenger seat is not included as standard on all trims, especially given how low the car sits. It's only available as standard on Tech Line, Elite and GSI. Lumbar support is similarly restricted to SRi, SRI VX_LIne, Elite and GSI trims, driver...

[I][B]I've only seen one up my way - a 17 plate, but it wasn't the vx line and it looked crap .]/QUOTE]

Know how you feel LOL. My first 'B' was a Design model, in black, and it didn't look as good visually as the VX-Line I have now. One of the car magazines...

Can't speak about Insignia 'A' (never had one), but IMO the VX-Line exterior kit on the 'B' is much better than the VXR-style equivalent on the Vectra XP, except for the rear spoiler. 20-inch alloys are only available on the 'B' VX-Line on the 2.0 diesel, and for me, the standard 'B' 18-inchers are...

  • According to VX Astra K Price List/Specification guides, electronic handbrake only available as standard on Elite trim, or as a cost option on SRI and SRI VX_Line trims....

Nice car, lovely to drive. The colour is quite rare - 'Rioja Red' I believe. I upgraded to the 'B' from a Vectra XP Diesel , and have no regrets.

Yep, I have been along that stretch many times. I have had to contend with all sorts of noise, including an odd flapping sound on the driver's side of the car, which I finally put down to the fact that I have Meniere's Disease in my right ear, which apart from rendering me half deaf in that ear, can...

Out of interest, I looked for Insginia 1.5T remaps, and all I found was remap of the 1.5T 140PS to 180PS, and the same 180PS output for the 165 1.5T, so it hardly seems worth it.

Nowadays, at 68 years old, 165PS is enough for me....

Just remember new generation petrols on Insignia 'B' require 'Dexos 1 Generation 2' oil

I just hope, with the Insignia 'B', the fact that the aircon condenser is set further back from the grille, will make it vulnerable to stone damage.

Yes, it is worth it, seeing that the 170 diesel is a further development based on the Vectra high-capacity diesels, based on my experience with my previous Vectra CDTI 1.9 remap, going from 148bhp, to 192bhp and 340lb/ft torque after remap. As for petrols, my previous 2.0T Vectra went from 173bhp to...

  • Yep, the Insignia 'B' is the 'last hurrah' of the GM/Opel/Vauxhall range of 'D' segment cars, and even if it resurfaces as an SUV which has been suggested it will not be a big seller. The recently-released facelift of the Insignia 'B', still with GM underpinnings, better tech and improved interiors,...

Welcome mate. I got my first Grand Sport as a Retirement present to myself. Then I replaced it (Design base Spec) with a nicer SRI VX_Line. LOL...
