It sits on top of the subframe behind the wheel arch liner in the offside front wheel arch. It's near the bottom engine pulley (but on the subframe) and it's sensor is in that front part of the exhaust just after it turns under the car after the dpf and before the adblue injector. It would be hard to...

I was quoted £552 I think from an independent service centre. I did it myself with a kit for £189. It is around 4hrs work. It doesn't involve the waterpump on this engine though....

A cambelt idler pulley can wear out and cause failure, it's documented on the forum. I think Vx claim 100k miles for the cambelt but they have been known to fail by 75k. The problematic idler is plastic but seems to have been rectified with a steel idler but you won't know what you have until you take...

Nox 1 is in a sh!t place. When I replaced mine I put some spacers beneath it so it wasn't sat directly on the subframe so that when it gets wet the moisture can escape. I smothered it in lanoguard and keep squirting it with lanoguard every year....

Wow, that's pretty impressive. Well done for testing it sooner rather than later. I'm guessing national windscreens get them half price! I hope they get it sorted for you, they're dead handy this weather.

I don't monitor my dpf at all, but if your dpf is filling as you say then emptying down to just 3% that would suggest to me it's working as it should? If you are concerned about this it might be worth considering why it's filling so quickly. What might be causing excessive soot?...
