Yes they need to be programmed on the vehicle, not sure on quality of aftermarket ones and the brackets are glued to the car. If you look and see where there are multiiple indents/dots on each corner of the bracket thats where they were got glued to the bumper from factory.

Exactly what RBH has said, to add bluetooth if it wasnt a factory option would be a custom loom fabricated for adding it plus microphone and then as long as the radio is already programmed for it (then it will work once plugged in, if its never had bluetooth the radio would need to be programmed using...

that i cant say, might be the button or could be the radio doing 'nothing' when your pressing it, the button pack would be the cheaper of the options as opposed to the radio unit itself
