Replaced the master cylinder this afternoon and clutch feels ok and pedal sitting same level as brake pipe still to fit the return spring but it seems ok without it still to take it a test drive. -
Fitted the new spring and the pedal was still sitting a bit low, but driving last night and the master cylinder rod snapped off both ends the clutch pedal and the cylinder end.Leave a comment:

Cheers Rab I spoke to Robert today and he said its probably the spring so I've ordered one from Vauxhall should get it tomorrow hopefully that will be it sorted, Brake fluid level is spot on and gearbox is bone dry just the clutch pedal sitting a bit low but as he said that's because I.ve disconnected...Leave a comment:

Here is a video of what my clutch pedal is doing.
Driving home from work today and now the pedal has started sitting at the higher position again I checked my brake fluid level and it is spot on, I disconnected the clutch pedal return spring and the pedal is now back to the correct...Leave a comment:

Cheers It was about 9 months ago and when the slave cylinder went I had brake fluid leaking at the gearbox I'll give him a call tomorrow.Leave a comment:

Yes it was the slave cylinder that went on the car so it was 3 piece clutch kit and flywheel I don't think the master cylinder was done....Leave a comment:

Drove to work this morning and clutch pedal is now sitting lower all the time probably at least an inch lower than the brake pedal it feels like there isn't much travel in the pedal still changes gear no problem, I can put my foot under the pedal and pull it up and it then sits a couple of inches higher...Leave a comment:

I don't think so I've just been out for a drive and the bite seems the same only thing now is if I push the pedal down it sits just below the brake pedal height (lower than it normally was) but as I drive along after about a minute it will ping back up a couple of inches higher but I can push it back...Leave a comment:
