couldnt you take off the engine mount and place a block of wood on the sump and raise the engine up so it clears the wheel arch and ud have the space where the air box goes to maybe get a right angle drill chuck adaptor and the a stud extractor?...

sorry to hijack this thread but where can i get a blanking plate for the main EGR body? ive currently got the EGR pipe blanked at the "square" end but never found the main EGR blanking plate...

Mine was stuck fast too when i first cleaned it ( dont think it had ever been on before ) i used a rubber mallet and tapped it constantly in different locations for bout 20 mins and finally it came out...

very common issue. Mine leaked from the drivers side first but i couldnt get the bumper off so i cut the metal panel in the boot and bent it up and sealed it. Its double walled so didnt effect the car at all. A few months later i noticed water again from the other side and saw the water was coming in...

sounds silly but are your sure they sit further down?
Have you tried putting the connector on the top of the plugs and cramking it over? if you can get its started and warmed up then maybe they will screw in further?

You might be able to blow/ suck but it maybe a case of it's not holding pressure. I tested my turbo solenoid the other week as it was buzzing and making strange noises. I hooked up a vacuum tester and although it produced vacuum it didn't hold it for more than a few seconds without loosing pressure....

Hello mate, no i never got to the bottom of what was making the EGR play up. I ran some live data and noticed it was opening and closing for no reason. I tried cleaning it but it was still the same. The option i had was to replace it at a cost or get it mapped out....i got it mapped. If you unplug it...

I read on the Vecra C forum that he passed away recently. Im not sure how many members on here have heard of him but he was a really nice guy. spoke to him on the phone a few times regarding the comfort modules he used to sell.

Try unplugging your EGR valve and take it for a spin and see if the noise goes away. I had a noise at higher ambient temp and when i unplugged my EGR the noise went away. It seemed to be functioning as it should but still caused me an issue....

I found that a generic ODB code reader didnt pick up my glow plug fault code, the only way i knew was to hook it up to opcom

Update:
It seems that all the issue i had were down to a failed Turbo actuator soleniod which i annoying as its only a year old and a geninue GM one. Fitted a new Peirburg one and the car drives like new, in fact ive never known it so smooth and fast. It actually feels like its been remapped...
