Dealers ,,rip off !
I know dealer prices are scandalous but,,,my 79 year old mother had her car in for service today ,its a 61 plate Ibiza with only 15k on clock, shes had it since brand new..picked it up today , "everythings fine, apart from brake discs" ,the discs have a slight lip on them, and they quoted 300...

Dealers false advertising
I had the same with a dealer in the southwest last weekend. When i pointed it out he saw his manager and said they would honour any price that i had seen prior to coming to the dealer. (still didn't buy anything from them).

Why bother with Dealers
They are a pain. The problem is they have to see the fault to fix it which is a pain. Anything that happens over 70mph they'll never find as, understandably, they can't speed.
I guess fixing the cushion they'll want to do properly I.e removing the whole thing.

How can the dealers miss this? Steering fluid leak?
I'd def try the VX route as if I'm not mistaken it was a recall to be completed when cars were in for service. If you've used the dealer for all your work then go the 'their cost to fix' route.
Apart from that the guys the carry out these services/inspections aren't mechanics anymore....

How much will dealers charge to fit dmf and clutch ?
I'd be avoiding the dealers and looking for a good independent clutch centre, I'd imagine the hourly rate will be a lot less.

quality issues at dealers
They dont seem to fix faults with cars until they have been sold nowadays but it puts folk off, i must have looked at 20 siggys over a 4 month period and everyone had some kind of scratch or panel damage.

Well, that's it, I'm at the mercy of the dealers. (Again)

Screen has lines on it since going in to dealers.
Welcome along. Never heard of the screen going on the siggy. This system is actually very good. Do you mean it's sort of pixilated and fuzzy like the TV screen used to go?
