A20nht bottom end
Hi guys and happy new year,
Well not for me as I'd replaced timing and balance chains. All back together only for the oil pump to fail and seize the engine.
Does anyone know if the bottom ends for a20nht and z20net are the same?
Thanks in advance

At my wits end with this car! 15 reg, Handbrake is failing, radio is freezing.....
Ok, so I've had the car now for 3 months.
The dealership I bought the car from is of no help, at first they said if they sent the car for diagnostics to two places and they came back showing no faults, they'd change the car out of a goodwill gesture.
Well, that was a...

Bump/knock noise from the rear end.... or somewhere underneath !!
Hello, my first time on here.
I have a 2014 estate and have this strange bump/knock noise underneath, could be the rear suspension, which happens when the car goes over small dips, hollows or holes in the road. It's a noise similar to when you drive over a cats eye and you get this "bump...

Steering rack leak - from tie rod end?
I have a 2011 tourer and it seems to be leaking from the end of the steering rack. Passenger side steering gaiter is very wet with red steering fluid visibly gripping.
Is a leak from the steering rack common?

Disconnect gearbox selector cables at gbox end ?
I need to disconnect the gearbox cables in order to drop the box. I cannot for the life of me see how the cables withdraw off the pins of the gearbox mechanism. Any ideas ? I've tried all amounts of pulling, prising, WD40 and they seem firmly connected. 2009 1.8 petrol car but nice low miles. Should...

Knocking noise from front end
Hey everyone,
Recently bought a 17 plate insignia, it’s done 11k miles.
The other day when I had just got back from a 20mile journey noticed a knocking noise coming from the front, doesn’t seem to be the engine.
Iv told Vauxhall’s and they are saying it sounds like the radiator,...

After a crap week at work, too many hours, not enough sleep and a few family related issues, i drove back to work after thirteen hours on the road to find that some dickhead of a truck driver had reversed his truck into my Siggy,

Anyone fixed there own bottom end on a insignia 2.0 cdti a20dth engine
My bottom end has gave up the ghost like hundreds out there. I was thinking of getting the block machined, new main bearings and crankshaft ground to match.
I was wanting to no if anyone went down the cheaper route of fixing there own engine instead of all these engines getting scrapped and having...

Another A20DTH bottom end failure
I am now also a victim of the dreaded main bearing failure on the CDTI engine. 2010 CDTI 160 Auto with 77k. Car well looked after with regular servicing and oil changes using decent Shell Helix Ultra. Not really any warning apart from slight noise on cold start for the previous couple of weeks which...
