  • Hello All

Hey guys and girls, my name's Dave, originally from Doncaster, although I've been living in Ireland for the past 13 years now!

I'm no stranger to Vauxhall / Opel, having owned a couple now, starting at the bottom with a couple of Corsa's, and a Calibra (miss it so much!)

Currently own a 2011 Opel Insignia 2.0 cdti - cred it where credit is due, she has done me well, having owned her for the past 3 years almost, and is now about to tick over to 170k miles. No major issues at all, solid car, handles well, and drives so well. My only issue is the soaking wet boot that's seeping through to the rear seats. No longer a concern though, as we shall be parting ways this coming Tuesday, and being replaced by a recently imported 2015 Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer Elite Nav 1.6 CDTI E in Power Red

I test drove her on Tuesday this week, and instantly fell in love, it's damn hard to find a well specced Insignia ST over here! Not 100% on all the features that are on the car, but I have a fairly good idea at this stage, and I will find out the rest once I take delivery, and get to have a proper play

Sorry for the poor quality photo's, better pics will come next week

Being the elite, you will have AFL’s.
LED interior lights. Chrome mirror caps & door handle covers. LED reverse light bulbs. Pedal box. Atomic Alloys. Steel Structure spare wheel. Boot floor risers. Rear exit exhaust & rear valance. M Y ‘15’ front grille.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys 😁

AFL - thats the fancy lighting that turns with the steering wheel yeah? Is it any good? What kind of headlights would the Elite typically be - Xenon, HiD etc?

                Thanks for the video Weccu,

Thats actually pretty cool. Do all Elites have headlight washers too?

If it has Xenons, it must have headlight washers. (Or at least that's how it is here in Finland)

I have brighter than standard headlight bulbs in the current car, as the standards are fairly naff, so looking forward to better again.

Are there any known issues I should be aware of with the facelifts? Engine is 1.6cdti 134bhp version - currently on 85k miles, and being serviced as we speak

                            Thanks Pete

Wheels will stay as they are, unless I find an affordable aet of Atomics, or VXR alloys 😊

I must say, the alloys on the ST are very tidy, same ones as my dad had on his Astra GTC
