Due in March and need to get away from The Halifax after they screwed me for changing to the Insignia 5 months into policy.

Hard to believe the good old post office seems best at moment.

I always have all the extras, recovery, home start extra, keycare, legal, blah blah blah.

So annoying when comparison site chuck out £298 but then that goes up to £480 after adding extras.

I spent years with Marks & Spencers Insurance, even they only work out at £419 for everything. And i know when making a claim they are really good.

Your annual premium £380.40, thats the Post Office all extras except upgraded replacement car, its max 28 days but can be a small 1l heap .

Any suggestions of companies that like Insignias?

If your car is modified you have to go with the modified car insurance specialist, if its standard then gocompare also find good deals for me.
For modified car, i'm with Greenlight Insurance, they don't insure standard cars, only performance or modified.

I had my Vectra insured through Chris Knott a few years ago as it was mildly modified. At renewal time I rang them to see if they could do it cheaper, nothing ventured nothing gained, and was told it was cheaper to insure it modified than bog standard! When I 1st insured it through them I was surprised to get a price which was 33% cheaper than the cheapest price on the comparison sites!

Aviva is similar for my GS, to your Post Office quote. You will get extra discount if you have other insurance policy with them tho.

When you say modified, do you mean performance wise or any mod's i.e. lighting, go faster stripes etc?

Who are you insured with? Tow bar on all my motors, have had insurance loaded against me by some when I tell them I tow a tin tent. Full no claims etc, was quoted over £1500 by one, last November. After I picked myself off the floor, said 'thanks but no thanks' Went back to old one £560
