  • Exhaust: make sound slight louder

Hey guys just wanted to get some guidance on making the car slightly louder. Ive thought about muffler delete but not really able to find a replacement for it or its either too much money to get a custom made one. Any ideas on making the car abit louder? Its a 1.8 petrol vvti exclusiv 2010

Drop a gear and put your foot on the floor? Sorry couldn't resist. You could remove the muffler box all together and just put a straight through pipe on it

                            cheap universal back box

or do what i did on my old pug:
remove the middle silencer pipe or cut out the middle box
fit some flexible exhaust tubing in its place
pipe work need to be a bit longer than you need (about 2-3" longer, cut the ends to push then downwards so the flex pipe fits)
put clamps and exhaust putty around the joins

i did have a savage back box as well with a 4 1/2 inch pipe so this was erm......loud

it even set off a car alarm when dropping a gear going round a tight bend by work

Remove the middle resonator would be sufficient and fit a straight pipe in place.
Too much noise would be overpowering on long journeys and get on your t*ts
