Really really strong toxic melting plastic type smell from the circled area
Can smell it in the cabin also

Possibly could be a regen. I know they can smell like burning plastic when they are doing it as the exhaust gets really hot

Engine bay is red hot, which would back up that theory.

Could of got a plastic bag melted onto the exhaust.
LED interior lights. Chrome mirror caps & door handle covers. LED reverse light bulbs. Pedal box. Atomic Alloys. Steel Structure spare wheel. Boot floor risers. Rear exit exhaust & rear valance. M Y ‘15’ front grille.

Had a look with the torch on the phone, can’t see anything obvious
It does smell exhaust related, as the snell lingers long after engine is cool
