  • Broken down, fault codes

Currently sat in a lay-by broken down. Had a warning of engine overheated, turn engine off. What could this be ?

Is there any way of reading the fault codes without being plugged in ?

    Thank you

Have you had a low coolant warning at all over the past few days?

What was the temp gauge showing when the message came up? EGT sensor would have registered as engine over heat would it?
