      It's had a new engine and clutch plus dmf before I brought it so yeah drive shafts would of been of at some point

        OK just thinking about this will the gear oil get to a point were its lost so much the level is below the seals what I'm saying is it not until iv filled the box that I'm going to notice the leak the new engine and clutch were fitted be I got the car

          If that was the case then you'd still be seeing "staining" to the underside around the leak area. Especially as you're travelling and it's getting sprayed about (in obviously small amounts). There'd be clear evidence of an old leak is what I'm saying

              yes they do

                Just a little update had a mechanic look today it is the seal on the inner drive shaft so getting fixed Friday morning £5 seal and hours labour at a guess.
