Aah, Matt, I'm sure you're just going through a bad patch with her right now. Why not take a test drive in a knackered Mondeo, I'm sure it'll make you feel better.

      Or....

It's one of those bugs you get in your head after an issue. The noise you're hearing has probably always been there but you're more alert looking for returning problems.

I'm exactly the same. I can end up hating a car for no reason at all just because I get a bee in my bonnet about some noise. I recently started to get a vibrating sound under the car when cold for a few minutes driving. Turned out to be my exhaust tip touching the piece of aluminium heat protector on my duel exhaust trim. I bent the aluminium away from it and problem solved but now I'm constantly listening for that vibration noise.

Definitely getting louder. It's only present when in gear. Low rpm it's hardly there, any acceleration and it's there. It's not speed related, same at 70 as it is at 30.
Driving me insane. Jump in all positive, 5 minutes later I feel worse than last time.

Really don't know, will try and get it booked in next week for road test and inspection or something.

Something to do with clutch or flywheel or I'm totally insane. It does sound sort of bearing related.

Found a couple, but less spec than mine, but are the vx line etc.
VXLine GS is not that badly specced now: Over the Facelift A it comes with:

                    half leather
                    auto wipers
                    dual zone climate control
                    traffic sign recognition
                    collision alert
                    pedestian alert
                    lane guide assist
                    high beam assist
one touch electric windows all round
keyless start (and keyless entry on earlier 17 models)
                    heated steering wheel

not too bad at all, plenty of toys really. Only thing I wish it had was power fold mirrors - pop round and have a butchers at mine pal,.. so much better than the A

No just noise. Starting to think it's a bearing or something.

Looking at a few cars over the weekend, hard to get the spec from dealers thou, Chewy knows more than they do

Yeah found some non vx line with rear camera etc. But the reps can't say what cars have and don't. On one word they say sorry no heated seats, next line says heated front seats . Gonna have to actually look at them all to see what they actually have.

Wondering if they put wheels back on but opposite sides and with the wear pattern there making more road noise.
