Mine works on dimly lit streets. Must clean the sensor part as it wasn’t switching off when cars were coming towards me much to their annoyance

My lights switch to dip beam if it picks up the street lights as well as other headlights. Try it on a dark road, should switch to main beam at about 30mph

The main important thing is are you getting the headlight symbol with A next to it. Are you set on Auto headlights?

Is there anything in the settings on your radio that you can toggle high beam assist on/off? I can't remember

There isn't no. Stuff for AFL there alright, but you can't actually select anything

Just looked in the facelift manual
It states this 'The high beam assist is activated bypushing the indicator lever twice witha speed above 25 mph.The green control indicator lilluminates continuously when theassist is activated'

You're not driving with fog lights on are you? The high beam assist is deactiviated when fogs are used.
