I understand a company that's gone bust it will be hard to hold them accountable but any company making some of it's staff redundant should be made to pay back any furlough money claimed for the employee being made redundant.
the company that was supposedly taking us over pulled out of the deal, only this morning, saying the uncertain future had changed their minds about the deal. our company then called in the administrators about 1pm ,,and I received the news by a poxy email at 3.45pm ….bitter taste in my mouth, is an understatement...25yrs service ,and to be told you've no job,by fecking email....I hope the owner dies ,a painfull ,horrible death, the cnut

It’s easy todo I had to do it when carillion went bump.

PWC did ours and it took 4 weeks tops. They even paid us at our uplift rates for the redundancy not our basic

                  • I was in a similar situation about 10 years ago , I got all money owed in full , plus a 300 pound retainer the company kept in case of damage caused

Can't remember exactly how long I had to wait, but it must of only been a month or two

                      • Evening all.

Not sure if this is of help to anybody or someone they know.

The company I work for are looking for a engineer/technician.

Offering an opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to work from our base on the outskirts of Leicester. Vehicles and tools provided.
Established over 20 years ago, we are one of the region's most highly reputed suppliers of mobility and medical equipment to the elderly and disabled.
Your duties will include all aspects of servicing and repairs to our whole product range including (and mainly) mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs.
Also delivery, installation and demonstration of various equipment: Attending customers' premises, normally in a home environment, with a full range of tools and equipment (provided) to locate the fault and replace or repair the faulty items, ensuring the equipment is working to the customer's requirements. This can involve anything from simple battery and connection issues to motor gearbox problems, component failure etc.
We are offering an Excellent Rate of Pay which is higher than industry standard to attract the right candidate, dependent upon experience.
English and Maths aptitude are important as good spelling and grammar are vital, together with good arithmetic.
Previous experience in electrical role and or a similar field is essential .
Applicants must be of a very calm, caring and patient nature suited to dealing with a specialised and vulnerable client base.
Willingness to listen and learn and extremely good clear spoken and written English are vital.
Must be of very smart and normal appearance.
Due to the caring and specialised nature of our business and the vulnerability of our customer base, we cannot consider an applicant who looks anything other than extremely presentable in appearance. I cannot stress how vital it is that our customers, particularly the elderly and frail, feel safe and secure and able to trust us fully. We will not risk causing our customers alarm by any aspect of our staffs' appearance.
You will already possess a good working knowledge of the whole range of motorised and non-motorised mobility equipment. A good selling ability or eagerness to learn to sell would be handy.
Absolute honesty is essential to us, hence any applicants must be completely trustworthy.
A full clean driving licence is required, together with experience in driving larger vehicles as safe and responsible use of our company vans would be involved.
Basic IT knowledge would be useful, for duties such as formulating letters using Email and Microsoft Word, online contact with customers and suppliers, simple database input etc.
Onsite training , manufacturers training will be ongoing throughout employment.

                        Job Type: Permanent

If you need anymore info send me a message and I'll do what I can.
