Being inside the airfilter, it'll be restricted.
Remove the bottom half and drill a few air holes in it.

No....not in the filter.
Drill bottom half.
Refit bottom half.
Refit cone back into position.

It'll give you a better airflow......it may increase the noise, but don't quote me on that.

That actually sounds pretty sweet, I wonder how a 2.0T would sound? I have sports panel filter but obviously not as nice sound as that. Anyone done it?

I think it will probably be difficult if at all to get a decent sound from a diesel tbh. You'll just have to experiment I suppose.

I wouldn't advise messing with the DPF, might be a problem come MOT. Exhaust is an idea but again, how much? Who knows
