    Figured it out today...
Yesterday nothing worked - even with engine running, the Infinity Amp didn't start.
But i had the right Idea.
I don't know how much energy the remote Trigger need, but when i use the original Remote from the Radio at the RCA Cable its not working.
First you have 12V but when you connect the Remote it falls down to 6V!
video, sharing, camera phone, video phone, free, upload

I then tried it with the 12V from the Cigarette Lighter - and it worked!

I am a little bit surprised, because i thought it's only a Remote Trigger Signal...
But finally its running. I am only thinking about where to get the 12V
I think the Cigarette Lighter would be the best option, because its only powered with the key.
A seperate Fuse should do it because of the thinner wire.
    Any other suggestions?

So, i was happy and the GPS Cable Connector is working too (it looked only bigger) but then another bad thing...
When i tested Music i heard a Noise, a really annoying Noise.
If you have Volume at 0 (it's not getting louder with more Volume) or at silent Parts, there is this Noise.
Maybe with Engine running it's not this big problem but i hope it's possible to get rid of it.
Tested it with the Original Infinity Sound and with a JBL Flip connected to the Pre Outs - both the same

video, sharing, camera phone, video phone, free, upload

I read something about Noise in this Thread but is it like this?

Fuse no6 behind glovebox on ours (Righthand drive) is the cigar fuse so we usually tap in to that for switch live. We use a piggyback fuse holder like this

I can't locate a ignition live from the boot fusebox but maybe you can with your multimeter.

The noise is normal, i have it on mine, can only be heard when there is a sound signal and on muted. Another member was saying could get one of these but he has not reported back if it had worked elik745i

      • Thanks a lot!
Will use some kind of this fuse holder and use the cigar fuse.

Next things are - get rid of this Desktop and use a better one (if its possible)
The AC and the other things at the bottom are a complete waste of space.
Yes i know, you can hide the AC but it's not better after it.

A smaller Border with only Home, Back and Volume would be good.

Is it possible to use another Player, when you press the Music Button?
Only found to change the Navigation Software...

I'm still waiting for the ground isolator, read from many forums, that the noise is coming from ground, there for the ground need to be galvanic isolated from signal cable (using transformer and few logic elements in that box). Once I get the device (most probably will arrive in next 2 weeks), I will test it and report back.

The top default apps on the top bar is not changeable.

The ac bar cannot be removed. I had a look on forums, no one has a rom like us.

We have our android specialist on here crunch81 he would off found something by now.

For the desktop, I use nova launcher, you can find the links on the p1 of this thread.

              • Evolution It’s not possible. You have to re-write the Rom (software) which will not going to happen. Reason is because the people who are capable of doing this are not going to do it because crazy amount of time and very less users of this system.

                • Yes, i thought something like this.
But yesterday i tried some Navigation Apps and when i tested this one

during Navigation it hides the Top Bar!
So it should be possible to Hide this things, maybe with Root in the Build.prop?

Because of the Noise, they send me only a Picture from this High/Low Adapter

But they ignore, that it's on the RCA Pre Outs too, so it's not the solution.

                  • The navigation app in Full screen mode is placed in front of the app top bar.

The rca converter or high low convertor does not solve the problem to the hissing noise. I am using one to connect external amplifier.

We are hoping the ground loop isolated can solve it

Hello, I have registered in this fantastic forum because I found that you have managed to operate the Infinity sound system. I have to say that I thank you very much for your contributions because I have not obtained this information anywhere on the Internet.

Sorry, but I have to use the google translator because my English level is low.

I have an Opel Insignia OPC of the year 2010 with navi DVD800 and Infinity sound system and I want to install the Ownice 10.4 "device.

I have understood that it is necessary to feed the pin number 43 of the connector with 12v. I would like you to tell me that you have to modify the adapter exactly so that the amplifier works if I am wrong.

Is the speaker output the one that transports the sound to the amplifier or should it be done through the RCA output?

I thank you in advance for your work.
