ECU reset to relearn

Hi Peeps,



Does this trick still work? It worked on my old vec c. You disconnect the negative from the battery for about 30 mins, then reconnect it, by that time it will have forgotten certain parameters/memory. So i can retrain the ecu into the way i drive the car (not how it was driven by previous owner), therefore giving more of a precise mpg and performance. I hope you guys know what i am on about .

I think it does as this will also reset some codes
