  • Hi from South Wales

Hi guys how's things. I've just bought my first insignia a 09 plate 2.0 Cdtisri auto. Great great car so far but I've got a couple of problems with it. First of all if on a longish run every now and again I get a message up on screen saying please service vechical soon and car goes into limp mode ? Anyone got any ideas. 2ndly with the auto box is the gear change set high. Or is there anyway to shift up gear as it seems to take forever to change into 2nd & 3rd

    Welcome to the site.

Could be a possible split in the boost pipe putting the car into limp mode, thats the general common issue with how you have described it.

      Hi, welcome to the forum!

Pictures when you can.....The auto box could possibly need a software update. Auto owners will probably give more advise on that.

Don't suppose you've got a link to where I can pick one up cheap also might change the boost sensor at same time

I'll have a look later. It's great for driving locally but went on a long run the other day and went into limp mode after about 20/30 miles

the service vehicle soon message means its got a fault code stored. you'll have to get it read and see what the fault is mate

a friend read the code and said its the boost sensor hense im thinking could be the boost pipe aswell so thinking of changing the two to rule everything out. but my friend also said that the same code could be the turbo? but its not blowing out any smoke
