Clutch problem Insignia 2L CDTI sports Tourer 2011

Hi,

I am Kes I am new to this forum. I have a Insignia 2.0L CDTI sports tourer 2011 model. Few weeks ago its starts giving a noise when pressing the clutch. when engine is start and when you press the clutch it makes a grindge noise. gear changing is oki and pulls the car as usual. Noise comes only when the car on start and when you press the clutch for gear changing. I am bit worried as this may lead up for a big bill. Its 79K miles on the clock.

please let me know what you guys think

Yes sound doesn't stay for longer. Sound only comes when you press the clutch pedal and when padal goes down and when it comes up. I can say sound comes when clutch padal passes the biting point of the clutch

Sorry to say but it defo sounds like a dmf on its way out.

You might notice some vibration through the centre console/gear stick too

If it's DMF how long can I use the car in this condition? Is it going to harm anything if I drive like this ?

Doesn't sound like dmf to me. They normally make no noise when the peddle is pressed.

Is the gear change the same? Any heavier or not selecting gears easily?

I'm going with hydraulic release bearing but you really need to get it into a gearbox specialist.
